The Dutch Olav Kooij, 21, became the youngest stage winner in the history of the Tour of Guangxi (China) by taking the third part of the current edition, beginning and ending in Nanning and 134.3 kilometers long.
The new test leader is the Belgian Dries de Vont (Alpecin-Deceuninck).
After three second climbs in the category, the last 20 km from the finish line, Kooij won the sprint in a time of 3h.04:09, taking the wheel ahead of Rick Pluimers (Tudor) and Marijin van den Berg ( EF ).
A previous breakaway was canceled with 13 km to go.
De Bondt ousted Italian Jonathan Milan (Bahrain Victorious) from the lead., which he now leads by just two seconds. Kooij is at 0:8, Pluimers at 0:12 and Colombian Juan Sebastián Molano (Emirates) at 0:14.
This Sunday will be the fourth stage between Nanning and Nongla161.4 km, with a high finish.
