Alcaraz, Nadal and 10 other Spaniards at the Australian Open

Spain will have a total of 12 players in the individual draws of the next Australian Open in 2024, the first major of the season, which will be held in Melbourne from January 14 to 28. In total, there will be 8 Spanish players in the men’s team, along with Carlos Alcaraz and the returning Rafa Nadal, and four players on the women’s team.


In the men’s draw, Spain will be represented at the Australian Open with the following eight players: Carlos Alcaraz, Rafa Nadal, Alejandro Davidovich, Roberto Bautista, Roberto Carballés, Jaume Munar, Bernabé Zapata and Albert Ramos. Among them, many eyes are on Rafa Nadal, who will debut at the ATP 250 in Brisbane (December 31 to January 7). Furthermore, in the previous round Pedro Martínez, Pablo Llamas and Daniel Rincón will try.

Rafa Nadal will be one of 7 tennis players with a protected ranking. There will also be Sonwoo Kwon, Jiri Vesely, Milos Raonic, Denis Shapovalov, Marin Cilic and Reilly Opelka.

The women’s draw includes Sara Sorribes, Rebeka Masarova, Paula Badosa and Cristina Bucsa, with Marina Bassols having several options to join. Nuria Párrizas, Jessica Bouzas and Aliona Bolsova were in previous rounds.
