Schick has scored 24 goals in 27 games for Bayer Leverkusen last season. His contract expires in 2025. “I am very happy to be able to continue at Bayer,” the Czech striker said in a video. On his national team, Schik has 17 goals in 33 games. He scored 5 in the last European Championship, where he tied with Cristiano Ronaldo as the top scorer of the tournament. Schik also won the award for best goal of the European Championship where he scored against Scotland.
Simon Rolfes, sports director of Bayer Leverkusen, said that the renewal of “a world-class player shows the ambition we have.”
