Christian Horner there was more attention to the presentation of the new Red Bull, the RB20, which he really likes. But it couldn’t be any other way. The Briton is under internal investigation after being accused of allegedly inappropriate behavior with other employees. No specific details are known and as expected the Austrians’ sporting directors did not elaborate either. But logically the issue was put on the table.
“Inevitably there were some distractions, but the team was very united. And everyone is focused on the season ahead of us.. So everything went on as before. The support has been incredible. Obviously, I’m focused on what’s ahead of us,” he said in remarks reported by Motorsport.com.
“Everything continues as usual, of course there is an investigation which I am following and fully cooperating with. But all that remains in the background as we prepare for next season.”
With no clear resolution, Milton Keynes do not want to make any drastic decisions and therefore Horner will continue to lead the team. The Austrians reach 2024 after having the most dominant season in history and the logical goal is to continue that hegemony. Whether this mess can affect performance on the track will be revealed shortly.
