Emirhan Delibas (21), a Besiktas player until yesterday, was fired from the Turkish club for using a dating application. The reason is not registered in the app as such, but rather lies in the profile.
The decision came after his ‘Bumble’ profile went viral and was proven to contain several lies. The player has confirmed that that profile is in fact “false.” However, the decision of the ‘black eagles’ has already been made: ”By mutual agreement we have parted ways with the professional footballer Emirhan Delibas. We wish him success in his future career.”
The main lie detected is that the player is 21 years old, when in the profile you can see that it says 24. He also added that he was looking for ”something casual”, nothing serious. Something I didn’t like either.
The midfielder, who arrived in the summer from Goztepe and played just two minutes in the Besiktas shirt, did not hesitate to show his displeasure at the situation on his Instagram profile. ”I reject the slander made by false accounts and I want to say that my loyalty to my team cannot be questioned. Besiktas is a responsibility for me. Your love has been my biggest motivation.”
