Toni Kroos has been called up by Julian Nagelsmann for the friendly matches that the German team will play against France (March 23) and the Netherlands (March 26). The Real Madrid player announced his return to the Mannschaft three weeks ago, almost three years after giving up his international career after the 2021 Euro Cup to focus his final years at the white club.
“I will play again for Germany in March. Why? Because the coach asked me, I want it and I am sure that with the team in the European Championship, more is possible than most people believe at the moment,” Kroos explained to Instagram.
Nagelsmann convinced the midfielder to return for the Euro Cup to be held in Germany, where he will play a key role in midfield alongside Barça player Gundogan and Musiala. Real Madrid player Antonio Rüdiger, permanently in Germany, was also called up.
Another novelty in the squad is the presence of Pavlovic, from Bayern, at the expense of his teammate Goretzka.
