The American Tiger Woods48 years old, is on the official list of registered participants in the Augusta Masters, a Grand Slam tournament that will take place from April 11 to 14 at the Augusta National Golf Club, in Georgia.
A five-time champion of the event, since his last victory he was 38th in 2020, he did not participate in 2021 and 47th in 2022 (the last Grand Slam in which he completed all four days so far). In the 2023 edition he retired after 36 holes due to plantar fasciitis.
This season, he has played just once in an official tournament, the Genesis Invitational, in California, last month, and he only lasted six holes in the second round because of the flu.
With 15 Grand Slam tournaments under his belt, he has indicated that his intention is to play a competition every month. His physique has suffered since he suffered major injuries in February 2021 resulting from a serious car accident.
Woods is on the list of 85 to compete in the Masters. It is not found in other official lists, the event champions will not play at this time.
