The 63rd edition of Itzulia-Vuelta al País Vasco will once again have top-level participation with the eventual winner and two-time winner of the Tour de France, the Danish Jonas Vingegaard, with the Slovenian Primoz Roglic and the Belgian Remco Evenepoel among the trio of candidates for the final victory.
The current winner, Vingegaard will be able to defend his first txapela achieved in 2023 for what he will have, as expected, stiff competition with also the presence of runners who usually shine in front of the big fans that gather in this test such as Mikel Landa (second place last year) Ion Izagirrre (third), which was confirmed in the official ceremony of the presentation of the test this Friday.
The launch of Itzulia 2024 took place at the Ficoba fairgrounds, in the town of Irun, which will host the start of this event, with the presence of the mayor of the city, Cristina Laborda, representatives of the Basque Government and the Provincial Council.
