Uma, 26 years old, won his first 42.195km, with a time of 2 hours 5 minutes and 33 seconds – his personal best -, after placing seventh in Seville (2023) and second in Frankfurt (2023) .
The champion at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris He beat Kenyans Titus Kipruto (2:05:48) and Elisha Rotich (2:06:54).
At 24 years old, Fikir won his first marathon in his first distance participationin 2:20:45, and beat, in the sprint, Ethiopian Enat Tirusew (2:20:47), while Kenyan Vivian Cheruiyot (2:21:47) was third.
Before the throne of Paris, Fikir won three halves: the British in Larne and Cardiff (both 2023) and Rio de Janeiro (2022).
After this marathon, which took its classic route from east to west of the city with the Arc de Triomphe as the start and finish.Paris will host two more Olympic Games, on August 10 (men) and 11 (women), although the layout is very different.
The Olympic event will depart from Paris City Hall to Versailles, southwest of the capital, and from there, it will return to Paris to finish at the Esplanade des Invalides.
