Jorge Martin lived a dream weekend. He leader of the Motorcycle World Championship left the French Grand Prix extending the overall advantage over his pursuers thanks to victories in the Sprint and in Sunday’s race. ‘Martinator’ also covered the pole position at Le Mansin a test to which he added 37 points to 29 by Marc Márquez and 16 by Pecco Bagnaia.
This week, ’89’ visited the studios of ‘Sky Sport’ and took the opportunity to assess the present and the future in MotoGP: “I arrived in France in good shape. It’s hard not to be happy watching the pictures from weekend. The The truth is we are doing something incredible with the Pramac team. We had some vibration problems in the first races, but in France I saw the sensations last year. Now I know the bike and I know where we are going,” he began.
Regarding his chances for the title, Jorge Martín was cautious: “There is still a long way to go, I don’t think about that now. I always give 100%; sometimes I am stronger and sometimes less. My goal is to always give my best, I want to make the most of every moment and have fun, not just thinking about success. If at the end of the year there is a possibility to try to get the championship…but now I don’t think about that anymore.”

Regarding his future, the World Cup leader said “for me, it’s not pressure. I had pressure when I was newbie and, if he doesn’t win, he risks losing the opportunity to drive (…) I want to have a clear idea of my future, but in the end good things take time and you have to wait a bit. I don’t think it will be long, everything should be decided in these two races in Barcelona and Mugello“.
