Despair included Peter Lim from afar, but Valencianism can’t take it anymore and will take to the streets again this Sunday to criticize the sporting and economic management of a club that remains far from its historic position and hasn’t reached Europe in five years while the song of the summer, the one that requires the sale of the best players to invest the minimum amount for new players, is repeated.
For all these reasons, Valencianism will unite this Sunday in a concentration that will take place while Valencia-Girona is played at the Mestalla and aims to leave the Valencia stadium soulless and empty to show the fans’ fatigue with the management of Peter Lim in front of Valencia.
There have been more than 1,500 days without Europe, the steady departure of its best players, the loss of sporting investment that has been taking place since 2019 and also the lack of goals of a club that, when does not continue, marks its permanence in the First Division as a big challenge of this season. All these are some of the reasons given by the Libertad VCF, Lim’s great opposition in Valencia, for leaving every Valencia member’s seat empty.
Summoned to the gates of the Mestalla to protest
‘The survival of our club is at stake’ this Sunday, says the motto of the association, which asks to go to the doors of the Mestalla on Avenida de Sweden to “report what Peter Lim is doing in Valencia and explain to the City Council of Valencia and of the Generalitat Valenciana that the club should be involved in its conservation”.
“Historically, we ask our players and coaches to live up to what our club represents. As fans, it’s time to live up to all the generations of players and fans who have worked hard for Valencia. The time has come to live up to what Valencia represents in our lives,” said a statement from Libertad VCF, which hopes to have the same success as two years ago.
This is not the first time this has happened. On the last day of the 2021-22 campaign, Libertad VCF also promoted the same proposal with an unprecedented success that left the Mestalla with only 16,189 spectators, while Sweden Avenue, as shown by many photos , was filled to protest against the management of Meriton Holdings.
With nothing at stake, as Valencia will not be able to play in Europe next season after suffering a real disaster in the last five days, where they have only added one point from the last fifteen, Valencianismo will take to the streets to claim the departure of the largest shareholder of Valencia, who arrived in the city ten years ago in the smell of people and who, however, did not set foot in the Mestalla for almost five years.
