The great Dallas Mavericks star heads the list of 16 players selected by coach Blagota Sekulic to participate in the Piraeus Olympic Qualifiers, where six teams will compete between July 2 and 7 for a ticket to the Olympic Games in Paris .
Not on the list is Josh Nebo, an American center who played for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season and acquired Slovenian nationality a few months ago. The naturalized position is still occupied by former Barcelona player Mike Tobey.
The Slovenian team will start preparing for the pre-Olympic next Monday, although NBA players like Doncic will appear from June 17.
Slovenia is in Group A with Croatia and New Zealand. The top two in the group will cross with the top two in Group B, which includes Greece, the Dominican Republic and Egypt.
