Nacho’s future seems far away from Real Madrid. The white captain’s contract expires on June 30 and everything indicates that his next destination will be Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, the team where Karim Benzema plays, according to the newspaper L’Equipe and the newspaper Marca.
The centre-back has a renewal offer on the table until 2025 but the white club has not received a response, so it is assumed that his time at Real Madrid will come to an end. In recent weeks Nacho has been tight-lipped about his future when asked about it and is now concentrating on the Spanish team for the Euro Cup in Germany.
The 34-year-old youth player entered the white youth ranks at the age of 11 and spent his entire sporting career at Real Madrid. However, the paths connecting the captain and the club are about to diverge. Nacho did not rule out the possibility of playing in a different league and Al Ittihad gave him a financial offer of 40 million euros for two seasons.
If Nacho’s departure is finally confirmed, Madrid will throw its nets at Leny Yoro. The young Lille centre-back, 18 years old, has been on the radar of Juni Calafat, Florentino Pérez’s strong man in terms of transfers, for months. Yoro has offers from PSG and Manchester United among others but, according to reports from France, his priority is to sign for Real Madrid.
