The Australian Álex de Minaur asserted his status as the first seed and secured the final victory in the Hertogenbosch tournamentin the 250 category and played on grass, after defeating the American Sebastian Korda, seventh seed, in the final by 6-2 and 6-4.
De Minaur, who was more solid than his rival when it came to winning points on his first serve, took advantage of two of the three break points he had in the first set, in the sixth and eighth games, to win 6-2 inside of 29 minutes.
The second round saw greater alternation, with three breaks in the first six serves. Two of them were achieved by De Minaur, who squandered two match points to close out the encounter at another 6-2 and could have complicated things by giving away his next serve. However, he proved victorious over others by 6-4.
This is the ninth ATP title for De Minaur, the second in 2024 after Acapulco and the second on grass after Eastbourne in 2021. The remaining seven were conquered on hard courts.
