He Benfica has announced the signing of the Greek international Vangelis Pavlidis, that last season was, along with Luuk de Jong (PSV), the top scorer in the Eredivisie with 29 goals.
The 25-year-old striker arrives from AZ Alkmaar and this Monday he was presented as the new player of Benficaa club where he signed for the next five seasons.
In a statement sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the Lisbon club announced that it paid 18 million euros to AZ Alkmaar for the Greek striker, who will have a termination clause of 100 ‘kilo’.
The race of Vangelis Pavlidis started with Drinks 2000 Greek and in 2015 he became part of the youth teams of the German team of Bochumwho later gave it to teams like Borussia Dortmund or the willem Dutch. The latter bought it and moved it in the summer of 2021 to Alkmaar from the Netherlands.
