The ABarcelona city council will install a giant screen to follow live the final of the European Football Championship that the Spanish team will play on Sunday, July 14 at 9:00 pm against the winner of the match between the Netherlands and England.

As reported this Wednesday by the Barcelona city council, ​​through the Barcelona Esports Institute, citizens will have the possibility to follow this last live, in a city space that will be completed in the coming days.

The city council frames this initiative in the “council’s strategy to make Barcelona a benchmark city in sports at an international level and give visibility to major sports competitions.”

In this sense, the mayor, Jaume Collboni, indicated that with this initiative “Barcelona reaffirms its commitment to make sporting events a celebration open to all citizens,” the city council said in a statement.

Collboni expressed his hope that “the fans enjoy the game with this screen installation and, above all, a victory in the final for the Spanish team.”

On May 18, a giant screen was installed in the Plaza de Catalunya to watch FC Barcelona’s victory in the finals of the Women’s Champions League.

Also, on August 20, 2023, a screen was also installed inside the Olímpics Vall d’Hebron Municipal Sports Center to watch the final of the Women’s Soccer World Cup held in Sydney and where the Spanish team became world champions.
