Roma on Tuesday announced the signing of Nemanja Matic, as would José Mourinho, coach of the ‘gianlorossi’ team. Again, the Serbian midfielder will play under the Portuguese coach, as he did at Chelsea and Manchester United. Matic is on both teams as an extension of Mourinho himself on the pitch. This is also the first Rome signing this summer that the Portuguese dreamed of.
Matic, 33, has signed for Roma for one season, until 2023, with the option of another. The midfielder, international for Serbia 48 times (2 goals scored), came on as a free agent after leaving United.
