Antonio Conte will soon include his third signing for next season. After Ivan Perisic (Inter) and goalkeeper Fraser Forster (Southampton), Tottenham agreed with Brighton to add Malian midfielder Ives Bissouma, 25, to their squad in exchange for 30 million pounds (34, € 6 million).
Tottenhan wanted to sign Bissouma in January, but then the operation was not carried out. Now the only thing left is for the player to pass the medical examination this week and agree to the terms of his contract so that the transfer is final.
Bissouma arrived in Brighton in July 2018 from Lille and since then he has played 124 games, including 26 in the Premier League in the 2021-2022 season. His contract with the southern English club will expire in June 2023.
His contribution to midfield has been key for Brighton, led by Graham Potter, to finish in ninth place in the Premier League, their best ranking in history.
