The venue or venues hosting this European event for the women’s team must have 8 category stadiums UEFA 4. And this implies a minimum of one stadium with a total capacity of 50,000 seats, a minimum of 3 stadiums with a total capacity of 30,000 seats and a minimum of 4 stadiums with a total capacity of 20,000 seats. Additionally, all stadiums must have natural grass playing surfaces.
UEFA joint candidacy is allowed as long as the candidate countries are geographically close.
Candidates can participate in the qualification phase
The decision regarding qualification for the final tournament will be made following the designation of the host association(s) and will form part of the Championship’s competition regulations. UEFA Women’s Europe 2027-29. To ensure compatibility in sports and commercial formats, the team of the host association or associations will participate in the preliminary competition.
Automatic qualification of the team from a host association is guaranteed. If the final tournament has multiple hosts, a maximum of two spots are guaranteed.
UEFA has set a deadline of September 24, 2024 at 6:00 pm for federations to confirm their interest in the candidacy. A process will then be opened that will end in December 2025 when the final designation will be announced to the Executive Committee of UEFA.
