UD Las Palmas celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding last Thursday night, August 22with more than 500 visitors to Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, the emblematic facility where the five founding clubs came together in 1949 to give life to the club that will mark before and after the football of the Canary Islands.
The Board of Directors, headed by its president, Miguel Angel Ramirez, managers, employees, staff, coaching staff, authorities, sponsors, collaborators and guests toasted such a special date. Ramírez said that “this moment not only marks a milestone in our history, but also gives us the opportunity to reflect on our past, celebrate our present and look optimistically towards the future. This anniversary is not just for the club, it is for the whole island.
