Barcelona left the three points in their field thanks to a goal from Walton in the final moments of the confrontation.
The Barça team was proactive from the start of the clash. However, in terms of offensive materialization, the culés do not aim well at the opposing goal. Up front, Badalona showed courage and put in a good fightback exercise and enjoyed some offensive glimpses with long-range shots. He tried to join the lines and attack through transitions.
However, Barça’s persistence was rewarded: on the brink of half-time, Fariñas took advantage, thanks to a good breaking point, of a good and delicate outside pass from Hugo Alba between the centre-backs. The attacker dribbled past the goalkeeper and put the ball into the goal.
At the restart and with a blue team at a light disadvantage, the rivalry was even more contested. The visiting coach shook up the bench on his return from the locker room with three substitutions and it had an effect: two minutes into the second act, Mauro beat Aller after a quick recovery and transition. Barcelona’s reaction came late, but it materialized after 84 minutes of play: Walton unleashed a whip from the edge of the area. The ball went into the square to give their team the win.

Really equal rivalry between the Catalans and the Balearic Islands where the ineffectiveness in the offensive zone came out and the defenses prevailed in the attacks. Mercantil kept hope until the last moment, but had to settle, like San Francisco, for adding the first point of the season.
