It is now official. The MotoGP World Championship will return to Hungary starting next season 2025and will do so after a 33-year absence. The Grand Prix, scheduled for the weekend of August 22 to 24, 2025is held in the circuit of Balatonfőkajár (Balaton Park), as announced in a statement released this Thursday.
The circuit of Balaton Park is located in western Hungary, and improvements to facilities and infrastructure have been announced to host a MotoGP event on those dates, in addition to WorldSBK (World Superbike Championship), which will also be part of its calendar next season.
The Motorcycle World Championship will return to the Hungarian country after being held twice, the first in 1990 and the last in 1992.
