RFEF designed the new electoral path today

Date:

This afternoon it was called from 4:15 pmto the RFEF Board of Directors, as we announced last Monday in MD. A meeting to which all its members and other territorial presidents who are currently absent are invited.

A call made by María Angeles Garcia Chaves in his capacity as vice president and consists of six points:

“First: legal report and analysis of the RFEF situation

Second: ratification of enforceable agreements

Third: Information on adopted agreements related to the Board of Directors and approval if applicable.

Fourth: Publication of the electoral census

Fifth: Other matters of interest

Sixth: Requests and questions”

Meeting where the application will come from and how the future and final elections in the RFEF. Elections to all bodies (Assembly, Presidency and Delegate Commission) in accordance with article 17.11 of the Law regulating electoral processes. and where it says that “When the person holding the presidency of a Spanish sports federation is suspended or disqualified by final resolution for a period equal to or more than the remaining term to expire, it is equivalent to more in six months, the call for appointments will continue.

As we explained in MD, there are several reasons for this decision. The first is as of September 21, ending the mandate that Luis Rubiales started four years ago. But there are also only three months and five days left to finish 2024. Time in which this electoral process must be carried out in all sports federations.

The fourth point in addition to the agenda is very clear: “publish the electoral roll.” Because this is the essential condition to start this process about twenty days after its publication.

As soon as the electoral process begins, the Board of Directors must be reconstituted as the Executive with a maximum of 12 people, six of whom will be elected by the Commission of Delegates and six more by the Board of Directors.

New Assembly of 143 members to elect RFEF president

Since then, and in accordance with said census, 143 members of the future General General Assembly will be elected, where all levels of football, both professional and amateur, will be represented: presidents of territories, men’s clubs and women, players, coaches and coaches, referees and referees in addition to indoor and beach soccer.

Those who are finally elected to that Assembly are the ones who choose the candidates for the presidency. Candidate that can be submitted by any Spaniard of legal age who does not suffer from incapacity, ineligibility or incompatibility or is disqualified from holding managerial or representative positions in the field of sports. Candidates must be presented by at least 15 percent of the members of the general meeting. This represents approximately 22 endorsements and where each member of the general assembly can also present a candidate.

Before the end of the year we need to meet the new Assembly and president who will lead the RFEF for the next four years.
