He Indian Grand Prix will return to the motorcycle world championship calendar in 2026 and become a reserve in 2025, as confirmed today by the International Team Association (IRTAfor its acronym in English) and Dorna Sports, the competition’s organizing company.
In a brief note, the championship organization states that “operational circumstances have forced the event to be delayed from its initial interval near the start of the 2025 calendar, so with no available dates towards the end of the season, the MotoGP world championship will return to India in early 2026.”
“Both MotoGP and InvestUP are working to return to the Buddh International Circuit with a world-class event, and are committed to confirming India as a destination for global sporting events,” the note added.
