Murray raised doubts before Wimbledon

Date:

the scotch Andy Murray, two -time Wimbledon winneris not yet one hundred per cent ready for the tournament in London, which starts next Monday, June 27, due to abdominal injury who suffered from stuttgart (Germany).

The British tennis player played in the final he lost last week in Stuttgart against Italian Matteo Berrettini, who forced him to ‘come down’ to the Queen’s tournament, which he won five times, due to a stomach problem.

Despite the week off and Murray already accounting for several training sessions at the All England Club, the former world number one still doesn’t seem to be in perfect condition to play at Wimbledon.

“The injury is getting better, but it’s not entirely perfect. My goal is to go to Wimbledon in good physical shape and have a chance to do well.”said Murray, who will not be competing in the Hurlingham exhibition and will only prepare to train for Wimbledon.

“There have been positive things and negative things this week. The positive is I’ve been able to train, the negative is that there are shots that I can’t hit,” added Murray.

The Scotsman has pointed out that in the next two or three days he will take a step forward in training and he hopes to play better in a tournament he won in 2013 and 2016 and where he became the first Briton since Fred Perry – in the 30s- at its writing.
