This affected the resolution of the set for Rune, opening the door for his kick-off in the second set. Alcaraz, launched, releases passings, rights and points of all colorsbroke his rival’s serve to head swiftly into the second set where he cruised ahead. He never suffered in his service.
The opposite happened to Rune, who again suffered in the fifth game of the set. He tried to stay in the match based on the setbacks, but Alcaraz responded with a huge save to seal 4-1 which was the beginning of the final close of the match: a comfortable 6-2 that puts the Spanish in the semifinals.
This Thursday, at 8:00 p.m., the final match between Rafa Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will be held. The Murcian, shot and in great form, will be a strong favourite against a Balearic player who returned after his break after the Paris Olympic Games. At the top of the draw, another top-level semifinal duel between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner.
