‘Stick’ to PSG

Date:

He Paris St Germain will have to partially close a stand in its home stadium when it receives Toulouse on November 22 after being banned for homophobic chants in a match against Strasbourg earlier this month.

The disciplinary committee of the French football league (LFP) has ruled that the Auteuil stand at the Parc des Princes must remain partially closed during a match, with the sanction taking effect from November 5.

The LFP has previously condemned the chant, and French sports minister Gil Averous announced last week that matches in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 could be suspended or stopped altogether if there were further incidents of homophobic chanting or violence . Leader PSG hosts RC Lens on Saturday.
