Fulham dominated the ball from start to finish against Brentford, but football is not about dominance, or about formation, but about goals. And that’s where Thomas Frank’s team fought until injury time. In the despair of the locals when their thousand attempts seemed useless, the figure of Wilson appeared and became huge, author of a magical double in stoppage time (2-1).

Reiss Nelson was very active in the first minutes, eager to take advantage of his first start in place of substitute Adama Traoré. Almost all the chances arose from his forays down the right, including a cross shot that skidded off the woodwork and a Smith Rowe shot that was picked out by a defender on the limit.
The game was going one way, but in the absence of which Janelt took a whip from the edge of the box against Leno was helpless (24′). Marco Silva’s side took a while to recover from the blow, almost leveling before the break with a shot from Smith-Rowe saved by Flekken with an excellent save.
Adama Traoré entered the field
Fulham did their best from the start of the second half, but were not creating really clear chances. It was all the lateral centers that walked around the area without finding a finisher. And to add to this harassment and demolition, Adama Traoré entered the green, an expert in reaching the baseline and centering.
He did his job over and over, but there seemed no way to score. Until one of his crosses was headed in by Wilson at 90+3 minutes to tie the final tie. It took an awful lot for the tie to arrive and in what seemed like the last half of the game, a miraculous hand from Leno prevented a goal from Carvalho. There was time for Robinson to put in a cross with his left foot and Wilson himself with his head to sign the comeback with time (90+7′).
