Manu Hernando has renewed with Racing de Santander until 2028

Palencia central defender Manu Hernando This Wednesday he sealed his renewal at Santander Racing until 2028, that’s why he declared “very happy and very happy.”

“I assure you they will be a hell of a few years,” said the footballer after signing his contract with the club’s president, Manuel Higuera.

The Real Madrid youth squadwho arrived at the Cantabrian club in January 2024, is enjoying his second spell at the club after his time in careerfor half a season, in the 2019-2020 campaign.

José Manuel Hernando was born in Palencia on July 19, 1998, he started playing soccer in eThe International Friendship Club from his hometown and joined the lower sections of Real Madrid in 2010.

With the white youth Division of Honor team, he won the Champions Cup, the Copa del Rey and played in the semifinals of Youth League in 2017. In 2019 he promoted Real Madrid Castilla (Segunda B), which after six months was transferred to Racing. In his first spell as a Verdiblanco, he appeared in 15 matches in the Second Division, scoring one goal.

The Palencia defender has donned the shirt of the 2020/21 campaign Ponferradina Sports Societyalso in the silver category of Spanish football, before joining the ranks of Portuguese Club Deportivo Tondela, where he played 67 games and scored six goals in two seasons.

Manu Hernando, who is an Under-21 international with Spainplayed the first part of the 2023/24 season in Sociedad Deportiva Amorebieta, with a record of 23 games and two goals, while the second part he did as a green and white player, where he played 18 games and scored a goal.

In this campaign, Manu Hernando played a total of 10 games in the team he led LaLiga Hypermotion, nine of them for starters. In total, the defender played 79 games in the silver division.
