Australia won the doubles and qualified for the semi-finals

Australia won the final match, the doubles, 6-4 and 6-4, qualified for the third consecutive year for the semifinals of Davis Cup and left the United Stateswho faced the decisive clash with an unexpected pair of doubles who were theoretically inferior to the first assigned.

The North American team, with the most titles in its history, thirty-two, has, however, gone six years without advancing to the semifinals. They haven’t won the Salad Bowl since 2007, when they beat Russia in the final.

The team coached by Bob Bryan, who faced the crucial moment of the clash against Australia with Ben Shelton and Tommy Paul for the match in pairs even with the team selected for Malaga Austrian Krajicek and Rajeev RamOlympic champions and modality specialists who, in addition, were first appointed for this clash.

Shelton and Paul are clearly outclassed. Two singles players trying to make a doubles match against an established duet as in Matthew Ebden and Jordan Thompsonwhich expired after one hour and twenty minutes.
