A goal from the penalty spot by Chris Wood saw Nottingham Forest beat Ipswich Town 1-0 and return to winning ways after two consecutive defeats to gain momentum towards the sixth and final position with access to the positions in Europe.
Wood did not waste the maximum penalty in the first moments of the first half. A foul inside the area by Sam Szmodics allowed the Nottingham Forest player to shoot past goalkeeper Arijaner Muric, who was helpless to stop a massive shot into the middle of the goal.
Ipswich, who will end the day in the relegation zone, were unable to react and were saved from conceding more goals. Muric, with a great intervention on a header by Murillo, saved 2-0 and allowed his team to dream of a tie that never came and left the score at a certain 1-0 which gave Nottingham the rest, after their two consecutive defeats against Newcastle (1-3) and Arsenal.
