Manchester City fan dies after suffering an incident in the Premier League derby against Manchester United. The man died “after a medical incident” at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, City said on Monday without disclosing further details.
The local newspaper Manchester Evening News witnesses reportedly said the incident happened around 4:10 pm near one of the stadium’s entrances. A witness said people were “traumatized” by the horrific scene as security tried to save the man.
“A girl ran to get the defibrillator. At that moment, more security came running and formed a circle around her…They worked on her for a long time, about 20 minutes, and then brought they put him in an ambulance. We were all traumatized by it,” the witness said.
“The thoughts of everyone at the club are with their family and friends at this very difficult time,” City told X.
