The different machines
The new DS 7 has a wide variety of engines, including a range of three plug-in hybrids with 225, 300 and 360 hp. The DS 7 E-TENSE 225 has a PureTech 180 petrol engine and a 110 hp electric motor integrated into an eight-speed automatic gearbox with a two-wheel drive transmission.
The New DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 300 and New DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 360 have a 4×4 transmission with a PureTech 200 engine, as well as 110 and 112 CV electric motors integrated into each of the axles. The 360 version accepts specific adjustments, made by DS PERFORMANCE.
The new 14.2 kWh battery allows up to 65 kilometers without emissions in the WLTP mixed cycle, and even up to 81 kilometers in the urban cycle. The charging time is about two hours on a 7.4 kW terminal. A BlueHDi 130 engine is still available in the range.
DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0
The DS PIXEL LED VISION 3.0 system features new technology that adds an extra dimension to the model. The PIXEL modules of the New DS 7 are distinguished by an optimized apparent flux management, which maintains the 3 characteristic modules found throughout the range. The PIXEL function enables optimal lighting. The luminous flux is stronger, more homogeneous, with a range of 380 meters (main beam). At less than 50 km / h, the beam width reaches 65 meters. On the inner side: two low beam/position light modules together. Outside, the PIXEL high beam module has 84 LEDs in three rows. The cornering light function is governed by the intensity of the external LEDs of the PIXEL module depending on the steering wheel angle.
DS Light Veil
The DS LIGHT VEIL consists of a daytime running light and four vertical lines of light consisting of 33 LEDs. This change depends on the manufacturing process: the laser-engraved polycarbonate surface is painted only on the inside to give it a look that alternates between light-painted areas and body color. Creates a jeweled effect of depth and luster. The DS LIGHT VEIL is turned on and off when the car is locked and unlocked.
expensive details
Inspired by the metal strap of a luxury watch, which consists of several pieces put together, the DS Automobiles team designed the seat and its backrest in a piece of leather, and seamless, to create exceptional comfort. The seat is made of high-density foam, with more material than used for a classic chair. Comfort is superior and maintained over the years, thanks to a denser material. Elongated, the piece of leather measures 450 millimeters on each side. After shaping, it was reduced to 60 millimeters.
The very high quality Nappa leather comes directly from beef cattle raised for their meat, living on farms without barbed wire. At 4 millimeters thick, only the noblest part, the skin grain, is used. This leather, with a new thickness, is dyed a specific color: Basalt Black or Pearl Gray. Massage, heating and cooling functions complete the comfort of the chair.
