Marcus Rashford The Manchester United player, was again left out of the squad and did not play in Thursday’s English League Cup quarter-final tie against Tottenham Hotspur, which they won 4-3.
The English player has been left out of Rúben Amorim’s last two call-ups and on Tuesday he assured he was ready “for a new challenge”, opening the door to a future away from Manchester United, a club he joined in he is still young.
Rashford, however, has three-and-a-half years left on his contract and is one of the highest-paid players in the squad, with a salary of 300,000 pounds a week, so exits in the winter and summer are more complicated.
Alejandro Garnacho, who was also left out of the squad for Sunday’s Manchester derby against City (1-2 at the Etihad), made the list and played the last 20 minutes, replacing Manuel Ugarte.
