Why is the president of referees not on the new RFEF Board of Directors?

Date:

Yesterday, Thursday, we learned about the new disposition of the new Board of Directors of the RFEF of Rafael Louzan. Organism where, as we progress in MD, they are not equal Joan Laporta neither Florentino Perezpresidents of Barcelona and Real Madrid; nor are there presidents of professional football clubs. Function that will fall in the figure of the new vice president, Javier Tebas.

But the head of the arbitration establishment is also not part of this new Board of Directors, Luis Medina Cantalejo. The absence is not due to any unusual reason but responds to this new design of the federative body carried out by Rafael Louzán.

Starting with having 50% women in it. Considering that there are 31 members including the president himself, this means that there are 15 female representatives in this new Board. To this we must add the representation of territorial men. A total of 11 territorial presidents were present with Rafael Louzán, this represents 36% more than the total of the new provision.

The Board is completed by Miguel Angel Angel, Eduardo Bandrés, David Aganzo and Javier Tebas. This represents the remaining 13% that completes the entirety of the new RFEF Board. And here the objective explanation is the absence of Luis Medina Cantalejo in this new Board of Directors after being included since he arrived as president of the arbitration establishment.

But this is not the only federative institutional absence because the president of the Technical Committee of Coaches, David Gutierrez, is also not continuing. Furthermore, in the case of the arbitration team, it is represented, within this 50% percentage, by Yolanda Parga as the head of the women’s arbitration. The appointment made by Luis Medina shortly after his arrival in the arbitration team.

Rafael Louzanas he has said throughout the electoral campaign, trusts the former Spanish international referee to continue leading the refereeing establishment of Spanish football.
