Date:

In a video interview broadcast yesterday, Tuesday, the Moroccan side of PSG Achraf Hakimi For the first time, he publicly faced the accusation of rape that he had been talking about for almost two years. Then, he defended himself by initiating proceedings and reported an extortion attempt against him.

“I’m going to be honest about this. This is the first time I’m talking about this publicly with anyone. Because since it happened two years ago, I haven’t said anything about it,” he said on Anas Bukhash’s YouTube channel . “It’s in the hands of justice. It’s the best way to clear things up.”

When asked what he has learned from this whole story, the former Real Madrid player believes it is because of fame. “The truth is that when we are successful and things are going well, we become easy targets for some people. And it taught me that you can’t trust a lot of people around you. When we put this thing in hands of justice we saw it was just another way to blackmail me.”

Hakimi insisted on his version of events and on a possible extortion attempt against him. “They wanted to blackmail me and so we filed a complaint and it was fine. The justice system handled things well. So, we are in a process that is on the right track,” insisted the PSG defender. “And it will be resolved soon. The whole truth will come out and we can talk more,” he added.

And he reiterated that “all this taught me to trust a smaller circle of people than me, don’t trust too many people and that in this world you have to be careful.”
