The first big of the season, the Masters of Augusta, entered the scene with Scottie Scheffler as the great favorite in his status as number one in the world and with Jon Rahm and fellow American Collin Morikawa on the podium of the week’s universal rankings.
Scheffler confirmed himself as the strongest player at the start of the season with three wins, at the Phoenix Open, at Arnold Palmer and at WGC-Match Play. He averaged 8.21 points, compared to Rahm’s 8.06 and Morikawa’s 7.66.
The world list does not experience privileged zone variations. Norwegian Viktor Hovland, Americans Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson and Xander Schauffele, Australian Cameron Smith and Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy will complete the ‘top 10’.
Sergio García left the ‘top 50’ by dropping to position 52while Adri Arnaus was 82nd.
American JJ Spaun, who achieved his first win on the North American circuit in Valero, climbed 139th place to 103rd place.
