Romelu Lukaku started his second spell with Inter by sharing in the 4-1 win against Swiss side Lugano. The Belgian striker didn’t make his debut with a goal but the other members of the LuLa duo did; Lautaro Martínez, author of the double. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Joaquín Correa also scored.
Lukaku, who left Inter a year ago after playing two seasons in their ranks (2019-2021), has started his first game since he returned from Chelsea. Received with a standing ovation by ‘Nerazzurri’ fans present in Lugano, he played 65 minutes even though he didn’t have any clear chances.
All reinforcements debut
Simone Inzaghi also lined up almost all the other reinforcements that have come to Inter so far (Raoul Bellanova, Kristjan Asllani and Henrikh Mkhitaryan). Metá André Onana entered after the break.
And Albanian Asllani served in the corner in the 3rd minute that gave way to D’Ambrosio, who had no score, to head into the net (0-1). After a quarter of an hour it went 0-2 after a serious error by goalkeeper Amir Salpi in delivery and Lautaro Martínez took advantage of the gift.
Strap, aim and help

The Argentine also provided an assist for 0-4 to Lautaro Martínez, who defined a perfect shot (73 ‘). In the final moments, Lugano achieved the goal of honor when Alessandro Casciato dropped the ball to bounce and beat Onana.
