Osasuna signed the first preseason victory against their subsidiary in a quiet clash for kill where Kike García’s brace and Iker Benito’s goal in the first half decided the game for the first team.
Osasuna debuted this new preseason with success at the expense of its subsidiary after using the experience and quality possessed by the students of a Jagoba Arrasate, which a few days ago began its fifth career as a rojillo coach.
The first team’s ball control was effective from the first minute. Kike García, an offensive reference, enjoyed two great opportunities, the second being distracted by a great Darío.
Minutes later, the Promesas goalkeeper flew in to divert a volley by Roberto Torres. On the right wing, Iker Benito is too insulted to continue to overflow the bottom line so his coach can see he is ready to have chances this season.
The first goal came in the 27th minute, the work of Kike García. The striker from Cuenca chopped the ball well to beat Darío by a pass.
The second goal was made by two players who looked like the first team this year. Aimar Oroz placed a middle with his left foot which Benito headed unopposed inside the small area. Immediately afterwards Kike García led a center from his nickname Barja to make it 3-0 on the scoreboard at the Tajonar main field facilities.
The Promises were overwhelmed all the time by the force of their rival until the referee declared the end of the first half.
Arrasate switched nine players at halftime to refresh, while Promises did it with their full eleven to fix or, at least, not exacerbate the situation.
Azcona took such good individual action that he failed to finish successfully after crossing his shot too far. Children from Tajonar showed their pride against a dominant Osasuna.
Finally, the planned script was carried out and Osasuna achieved the first happiness of the preseason for a team that next Tuesday will face Toulouse in Tajonar.
