Drama at Ferrari: Leclerc hits the wall!

Ferrari pulls the World Championship of Drivers and Constructors for their own mistakes. While Red Bull and Verstappen are almost infallible, and when they can’t avoid them, they react quickly, in Maranello the opposite happens. Errors accumulate in the Italian team. Charles saw how the title was slipping away due to setbacks in his car. It’s a winning single-seater. But the engine showed too much weakness and maybe the team is not ready to succeed as Red Bull. That’s what the facts say. In Barcelona and Baku, Charles Leclerc retired when he was leading due to engine problems. At Monaco and Silverstone, the team failed in its approach to Charles and lost out on a clear victory. In Austria, two weeks ago, he won with a final suspense, with an accelerator problem making him suffer.

Two weeks later, that notification from Austria turned into a big problem. A real World Cup twist. Charles Leclerc again had trouble with the throttle as he struggled to make his subsequent pit stop a few laps after being undercut by Verstappen.

Charles did everything right. He defended his position at the start against Max and then he defended himself against the attacks of a faster Verstappen. But at that moment, all those efforts came to naught. Charles let Signes in on the throttle, and at the top of that corner he had to let go. It will not work, if it is confirmed that the problem that Leclerc complains about is real. And the car turned. He leaned against the wall. His cry on the radio was heartbreaking. He said everything. A cry that clearly explains what it feels like when you lose a World Cup.

Double error: They also failed Sainz

The disaster ended one turn later. Carlos Sainz runs, with a great return. Charles Leclerc’s ‘Safety Car’ can be used by Carlos Sainz to make a free stop. So it was, but this time the Spanish mechanic made another mistake with another bad stop. As a result, he lost more time than necessary, but things got worse: nobody told Carlos that he couldn’t exit the pit lane, where he almost got hit by a Williams coming into the pits. That action earned Carlos Sainz a 5 second penalty which made things difficult for him to save Ferrari’s honor of being the only red car on the track.
