Amidst all the legal trouble for the future of the current champion of Indy CarAlex Palouthe Catalan is playing defense of his crown in leading american single-seater competition. He is 44 points behind the leader and there are only 5 races left, so Palou should start his comeback from this very Saturday, at the event that will take place in Indianapolis (Brickyard GP, Saturday 6:30 pm in Spain).
The Catalan will start 7th and for all after being the only Ganassi to break into the top 12 in Friday’s classification, with Felix Rosenqvist taking pole over Alexander Rossi. Among the contenders for the title, only O’Ward (3rd), Power (4th) and Newgarden (5th) will start ahead of Palou, who will fight it all out to win them over.
The race leader, his teammate and former F1 Marcus Ericsson, will start last due to an engine problem and Dixon will start from 20th. Good opportunity for from Sant Antoni de Vilamajor in search of closer to the leadership.
