‘Centennial of a passion’, the CD Tenerife book

the book, which It has 400 pages and more than a thousand imageswas prepared by journalist Luis Padilla and will be presented this Monday in a ceremony that will take place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The book examines the trajectory, between two centuries, of a society born at the dawn of Spanish football and is divided into twelve chapters devoted to the analysis of the main singularities of the clubfollowed by a chronological analysis of the nine periods in which his sporting career has been heralded, in addition to four final appendices.

‘Centennial of a passion’ is distributed in each chapter the summary tables corresponding to the last seventy periodswith a complete numerical and graphic compilation.

The summary is illustrated by a picture (made by the designer from Tenerife María Galarza Mir) of top scorer for the year and a picture of a line-up from that campaignwhere all players are identified.

The last annexes contain biographies of 21 presidents (with photos by Ramón Alonso and Israel Brito) that the entity has in its century of life.

Also includes profiles of 84 blue and white coaches in national categories, also illustrated with photos of Maria Galarza Mr. Also, there is a detailed reference of 38 players who have played for CD Tenerife and are full internationals (with Spain or their country).

The final statistical appendix summarizes, by years and competitions, the 3,318 official matches were played in this first century of life against 219 different rivalsthe balance in each official competition played by CD Tenerife between 1922 and 2022 or the lists of the 100 players with the most appearances and the 100 best scorers, among other tables.

‘Centennial of a passion’ will go on sale from next Tuesday, at a price of 59.95 euros, in the official CD Tenerife store (both in the front channel and on the internet). From next week it will also be available in major bookstores in the province.
