The Italian Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia (Ducati Desmosedici GP22), after his victories in Assen and Silverstonesaid that despite having scored many points “still” is not thinking about the championship.
“After Silverstone we regained some points in the general classification, but I still don’t want to think about the Championship, I want to stay focused and race, always trying to get the best result possible.” explained the Italian pilot in his team’s press release.
“In the last Grand Prix, I achieved an unexpected victory and I think it was one of the best of my career and now we have arrived in Austria, a track that historically has always favored Ducati, although we will have to see how about this new variant, but I am convinced that we can do it well”, said Bagnaia with conviction.
Australian Jack Miller, for his part, assures that he is “happy to race again in Austria this weekend because the Red Bull Ring is a track that I like and where I have already been on the podium”.
“Last year we had bad luck with a crash in the first race and then the rain surprised us in the second, but the goal is to make up for it this year as we are going through a positive moment and my feelings on the Desmosedici is really good, so I hope to be comfortable from the start,” said Miller in the same note.
