Kia refreshes the X Ceed and adds a sport version GT Line

SUV models are more fashionable than ever, especially in Spain. It’s something they know very well at KIA, where the Sportage, Stonic and Niro occupy the top positions in their sales, with very positive numbers for the brand, as it currently records a growth of about 6% and is the manufacturer with more registrations between individuals.

The main novelties include numerous improvements in the exterior design, including a new sportier GT Line version. This new specification has a number of sporty touches that set it apart from the base model. A bold Tiger nose design frames the new grille, while a sporty lower air intake and
bumper side trim They add a more aggressive look to the front. Dark chrome deflectors help direct air forward to reduce drag and improve aerodynamic efficiency.

At the rear, striking hexagonal LED taillights and a body-coloured lower diffuser complete the updated and highly distinctive design. to drive
18-inch alloy wheels giving it an athletic look, while gloss black running boards, roof rails and body-coloured mirrors further enhance the active and dynamic look.

But in addition to this integration, we can see in all the finishes how much work has been done on the design of the new
LED headlights, bumpers and grille. It also has new alloy wheels up to 18″, and a rear section in which a new design diffuser stands out.

From the interior, we emphasize the new colors and backgrounds available in the digital painting. In addition, the mechanical range has also been improved, with variants of petrol, diesel, Hild Hybrid and plug-in hybrids that have significantly reduced consumption and emissions. To give an example, in the 141 hp PHEV version that we were allowed to test during the presentation (plug-in hybrid version), we managed
consumption of only 5 l/100 km, and that during our trip the battery capacity was completely exhausted. This plug-in hybrid X Ceed offers an electric range of up to 48 km, which equates to a 60 km drive in the city.

The updated range consists of three turbocharged petrol engines with direct injection (T-GDi): a 1.0-litre three-cylinder T-GDi with 120 hp and 172 Nm peak torque; a 1.5-litre four-cylinder T-GDi delivering 160 hp and maximum torque of 253 Nm; and a 1.6-litre T-GDi high-output unit, same as the models
Ceed and ProCeed GT, available for the most performance-oriented variant of the Kia XCeed. With 204 PS and 265 Nm of torque across a wide rev range, the muscular 1.6-litre T-GDi engine is perfectly suited for dynamic driving in a wide variety of situations. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds when equipped with the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The X Ceed range is now available from the brand’s dealers, with a base version price of €20,957 (without applying Moves plan discounts). The plugin variants
with DGT ZERO marking They start at 33,022 euros, even without discounts for financing or MOVES plan.
