The new Mercedes model, the EQE SUV, is practical, dynamic and suitable for an active lifestyle
The EQE SUV is the versatile variant of the EQE business sedan. Like the latter, it is available with the essential innovations of the EQS while being more dynamic at the same time. The EQE SUV is one of the most spacious representatives in its class. At the same time, it is more compact than the EQE sedan and has a wheelbase that is nine centimeters shorter at 3,030 millimeters. The outer dimensions are 4,863/1,940/1,686 millimeters (length/width/height). As the fourth model after the two sedans EQS and EQE and the EQS SUV, the EQE SUV uses the new all-electric platform.
The proportions of the EQE SUV combine functionality and aesthetics with the sporty character of the SUV. The new model, with its unmistakably objective design, marks a turning point in its class. The overhangs and front structure remain compact. The wheels with dimensions from 19 to 22 inches are positioned flush with the exterior and provide an impressive appearance.
Thanks to the modular drive concept, the EQE SUV can offer a wide range of maximum total drive power from 215 to 300 kW. Depending on the vehicle’s equipment and configuration, European models reach a range of up to 590 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. The EQE SUV’s lithium-ion battery consists of ten modules. In some cases, innovative, in-house developed battery management software can be kept up-to-date via radio.
From June 2022, Mercedes me Charge will offer three new charging rates in Europe that are adapted to individual driving performance: Mercedes me Charge S for drivers who use the charging point sporadically, Mercedes me Charge M for regular users and Mercedes me Charge L for customers who charge the battery up regularly. With the introduction of the new and transparent tariff system, customers have access to partly fixed prices that apply independently of the operator. With the Plug & Charge function, the EQE SUV can also be conveniently charged.
The EQE SUV is based on the large electric Mercedes-EQ platform. This is accompanied by a consistent digitization of the interior. The optionally available MBUX Hyperscreen expresses this vision in an impressive way. The standard Electric Art interior uses no leather at all.
Navigation with Electric Intelligence lives up to its name and offers significant benefits. This is because it plans the fastest and most comfortable route, including charging stops, based on numerous factors. It also reacts dynamically to, for example, traffic jams or a change in driving style. Navigation equipment with Electric Intelligence is smart. Calculates the expected charging costs for a charging stop. The customer also has the option to edit the planned route individually. You can add preferred charging stations along the route or exclude suggested charging stations.
