New models boost Renault’s third-quarter results

The Renault group closed the third quarter of the year with a turnover of 9,782 million euros, which means:
an increase of 20.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021. The Group’s turnover increased by 20.5% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021 to 9,800 million euros.

Luca de Meo attributed this improvement in its quarterly sales to the positive “historic” price effect of 12.8 points it recorded over the period, as well as to the progress of the commercial discount policy.

experienced strong growth of its sales share in the market’s most profitable channels, while increasing its penetration in the largest and most profitable vehicle segments.

the Automotive area Renault posted quarterly sales of 8,950 million euros, representing a 21.7 percent year-on-year increase, while the Mobility Services business grew 50 percent to 9 million euros.

In addition, the Sales Financing division ended the third quarter of the current year with a turnover volume of EUR 823 million, which translates into an increase of 8.4 percent in the year-on-year comparison.

This commercial policy is reinforced by the success of the new products that will allow the Renault group to consolidate its leadership position in hybrid and electric mobility. The E-Tech range (electric and hybrid) represents 38% of the retail sales of the Renault brand in Europe in the first 9 months,
an increase of 12 points with regard to the first 9 months of 2021.

The company registered
a total of 481,263 company cars and passenger cars worldwide in the third quarter of 2022, translating to a 2.4% decline from 492,942 units sold a year earlier.

Between July and September, Renault sold 400,757 passenger cars worldwide, down 0.1%, while commercial vehicle deliveries fell 12.2% year-over-year to 80,506 units.

The Megane E-Tech Electric is off to a promising start with more than 37,000 orders since its launch in the second quarter, with 75% for higher versions and 85% for the more powerful engine. Arkana realizes more than 60,000 orders in 2022, of which 60% in the E-Tech version and 60% in the individual channel

By brand, Renault sold 321,403 commercial vehicles and passenger cars in the quarter, down 4.8%, and
Renault Korea Motors it reduced its registrations by 0.5%, by 13,102 units. In addition, Dacia increased its registrations by 4.5% to 144,604 units.

alpine It also ended the quarter on a positive note, selling 784 units, up 18.1%, and Eveasy increased its shipments by 57%, to 1,369 units. The Mobilize brand sold one unit in those months.
