The manufacturer is conducting its sustainability experiments in the Lamborghini Park, a few kilometers from the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory. For example, it has built lagoons that are breeding grounds for insects and small fish, which in turn serve as food for the birds that live the more than
10,000 oak trees planted on site.

The oak forest is configured in such a way that the Lamborghini researchers can determine the optimal distribution of trees to capture as much carbon dioxide as possible. If they are too close together they compete and not all survive, and if they are too far apart more trees can be planted.

But within that forest is also the biomonitoring center for 600,000 bees. These serve to study the situation of contamination and pesticides in a radius of five kilometers, which they travel every day to pollinate.
