Four years after its launch, the DS7 is being renewed to remain the locomotive that attracts the young French brand competing in the Premium vehicle sector, where they already occupy sixth place in the ranking. The new DS7, with first deliveries at the end of the year, will reach dealers with prices starting from €42,800 for the 130 hp diesel engine and the Bastille finish to €75,250 for the DS7 360 4×4 plug-in. in hybrid model Premiere. The range is complemented by two other plug-in hybrid models, one with 200 hp and one with 300 hp. The three electrified versions offer a range of 60 kilometers in electric mode.

Externally, the tweaks compared to the previous version can be seen on the front and back. The new front emphasizes the new light signature. The window frames and roof racks are offered in a Gloss Black version to enhance the dynamism of the silhouette. Six colors are offered: the new Lacquered Gray and Sapphire Blue that complement the metallic Platinum Gray, as well as Pearl Black, Crystal Pearl and Pearl White.

The infotainment system is one of the main novelties of the new DS 7. It presents a redesigned interface, complete with voice recognition. The touch screen has a high resolution of 12 inches and displays a menu consisting of widgets to access all functions with a single gesture.

The new DS 7 offers technologies aimed at greater comfort and safety. The DS Active Scan Suspension and the DS Night Vision stand out in a special way.

DS Active Scan Suspension is a damping system controlled by a camera. Adjust each wheel individually based on road imperfections. For its part, the DS Night Vision is an infrared camera that scans the road and its edges to detect cyclists, pedestrians and animals at a distance of up to 100 meters. The driver receives the information on the digital instrument panel, together with a specific danger warning.

The
security is strengthened with DS Driver Attention Monitoring and DS Drive Assist with level 2 semi-autonomous driving.

The DS Driver Attention Monitoring uses two cameras to analyze the driver’s level of attention. The first monitors the vehicle’s behavior in its environment, and the second, placed in front of the driver, diagnoses gaze orientation, facial and eyelid movement, which reflect levels of drowsiness and attention. The DS Drive Assist system is adaptive cruise control that can stop and restart without driver intervention, assisting you to keep the vehicle where you are or where you place it in the lane.

In the
more powerful version, the E-Tense 360 ​​​​​​4×4, has a lower chassis -15 mm-, the tracks are widened -24 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear. The front brakes are 380 millimeters in diameter with four-piston calipers signed DS Performance. This model is equipped with a 200 hp petrol engine and electric motors on the front and rear axles with 110 and 113 hp (all-wheel drive).

It is equipped with a 14.2 kWh battery, the electric motors allow driving in zero-emission mode with propulsion or all-wheel drive up to 62 km (WLTP EAER City) and 57 km (WLTP AER combined) and can reach 140 km/h in 100% electric mode. The average fuel consumption is 1.8 litres/100 km.

For the new DS 7 E-Tense 225 (180 hp petrol engine and 110 hp electric motor on the front axle), the range is certified up to 80 km (WLTP EAER City) and 65 km (WLTP AER combined) and an approved fuel consumption of 1.2 liters /100km. Each hybrid system is paired with a new 14.2 kWh battery that takes approximately two hours to charge in a 7.4 kW terminal.

The new DS 7 also features a BlueHDi 130 diesel engine, with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It offers a consumption of 5.8 litres/100 km.

On the occasion of the launch of the new DS 7, a
limited edition of the new DS 7 E-Tense 360 ​​​​​​4×4 La Premiere which is based on the Opera finish. It features a gloss black front skirt, black monograms and specific badging to match a gloss black body finish on the DS wings, grille, window surrounds and roof rack. Interiors are available in black and gray. Two charging cables (mode 2 and mode 3) are supplied as standard. Six exterior colors are available: lacquered grey, sapphire blue, pearl white, perla nera black, platinum gray and crystal pearl.
