The new feature does not have a release date yet, although it will be available sooner in the beta version of the application
WhatsApp remains involved in the process of refreshing and updating the application. A whole process of changes that brings a new novelty that users are already claiming. Still without a release date, the instant messaging application allows you to edit the messages as soon as they are sent, both in the iOS and Android versions as well as the desktop versions.
It is a feature that, as the specialized portal WaBetaIfo has developed, has no release date yet, although it will first reach users who are members of the beta program. According to images shared by the portal to announce this new novelty, which comes from a beta version of the application for devices with the Google operating system, WhatsApp will add a new option called “Edit” (edit, in Spanish) that will appear when the user puts his finger on a message he has sent to another contact.
At the moment it is also unknown if the user has a limited time to edit the posts, but what does happen is that there will “probably” not be a history of the edits made.
It should be remembered that WhatsApp was reluctant to make changes to messages for a long time. In addition, only a few months ago, the social network introduced the possibility to delete the already sent message within ten minutes. A feature that is nevertheless not configured as in other applications with similar characteristics. In this case, the recipient of the message will receive a notification that a message has been deleted.
This feature would come to the application shortly after the emoji reactions to posts were implemented or after the announcement that the social network will launch “Communities”, a new space in which users can bring together different groups in the same structure, while maintaining a layout according to the needs of each case
