Sport, GT or SUV? The favorite cars of football players

Date:

Attackers and midfielders like fast cars, such as sports cars. Keepers, however, prefer gran turismo and todocamino

The fastest players prefer the fastest cars, the midfielders and forwards the sports cars. This is the main summary of the research carried out by AUTODOC experts, in which they have searched and analyzed the cars of the best football players in the world over the past few years. For example, after a careful analysis of 305 football players and their cars, a correlation is observed with the position in which the athletes play and the type of vehicle they drive.

The analysis indicates that attackers and midfielders
they prefer sports. 38% of the investigated attackers have a car of this type. Among them are Antoine Griezmann in a McLaren 675LT, João Félix in a Ferrari 488 GTB and Robert Lewandowski in a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.

Sports shoes are even more popular among midfielders; almost every other player in this position has one. Examples are Leon Goretzka, with a Mercedes AMG V8 Biturbo, and Mario Götze, with a Mercedes SL 50). In addition, the analysis shows that the favorite brands of sports cars are Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche.

It is surprising that many of the best goalkeepers in the world
driving an SUV or a grand tourer. 36% of the goalkeepers analyzed drive an SUV, for example Däne Kasper Schmeichel, who owns a Range Rover Sport and the Pole Wojciech Szczęsny, who owns a Porsche Cayenne Lumma Design. 44% of goalkeepers prefer the gran turismo.

One of them is the German Manuel Neuer, who owns an Audi RS6. Unlike their fellow strikers and midfielders, goalkeepers don’t really like sports cars, only 4% of them drive them.

As for the defenders, they also prefer bigger cars. 36% of them drive an SUV, such as the Dutchman Virgil van Dijk (Mercedes-AMG G63), the Frenchman Theo Hernandez (Lamborghini Urus) and the Croatian Dejan Lovren (Mercedes GLE Coupé). 37% of players occupying the defense prefer gran turismo.

Among them are Jordan Henderson, from England, with his Audi RS7 and Switzerland’s Ricardo Rodríguez, with a Porsche Panamera Turbo S. Only one in five of the best defenders in the world drives a sports car. An example is the legendary John Terry, who has a collection of Ferraris, the most expensive of which is a 275 GTB, worth more than two million euros.
